BBQ & Fun Day
Picture
Sunday September 3rd will see our annual fun day and "summer" BBQ.

Training will consist of several devilishly difficult tests designed to let the dogs have a bit of fun and test handlers` sense of humour ! This will be a team event where teams are made up of all abilities and standards.

The comp will be followed by our BBQ. There will be plenty of Bangers and Burgers available but please can you bring a "pudding to share"  - and any beverages that tickle your fancy !

During the BBQ we`ll also be having a "scurry with a twist" (50p a go) and a raffle, both in aid of GSP rescue. Any donations of raffle prizes will be greatfully received.

A presentation for "most improved dog and handler" will also be given.

Hope to see you all there !

2017 Gundog Working Test
April 23rd

Soooooo........ That`s our working test out of the way !

I think most competitors had a good day !

I just wanted to publicly post my heart felt thanks to all the volunteers that made today possible.

The judges did their job fantastically, Allan Hender, Simon Kirby, Sue Hender, Mark Jones, Bob Sparks, Lisa Baker, Bradley Dymond and Kenny Jones.

However, there was another army in the background:
Mandy Hicks Beryl Parks and Tracey Black - every time I walked past the portacabin they were doing something. Taking scores, arranging flowers, doing the raffle, cooking, tidying up..... the list goes on and on. Thank you !

Our stewards - John Parnham, Andrea Reuben Wyatt, Doreen Hailstone, Nicole Coe and Claire Hardcastle. Troopers !

Our "Projectile Executives" Emma Willson, Colin Hailstone, Adam Reddish, Andy Wyatt, Natalie, and Grace. Superb !

Absent committee members on the telephone giving advice and support - Dave Farr, Julie Jones, and Gina Lewis. We missed you !

If I`ve missed anyone please let me know .

A selection of photo`s can be found at  the

All the very best

Colin Hailstone & Zac are on a roll ! This week it's the Hampshire Gundog Society Spring Pointing Test in which they achieved "Very Good". Congratulations !

Our AGM was held on Sunday 5th March 2017 prior to training at Whistlers.

The main news story was that our chairman, Bob Sparks stood down. The committee and club would like to thank Bob for all that he has done over many years at the helm. The good news however is that Bob will still be coming to the club as a trainer most months and will also be a judge at our Working Test in April.

Bob and Merlin
Rod and Ali Alder also stood down from the committee. The committee and club would like to thank them for all that they have done over the years as well. Both will be very much missed.
