Welcome to the Test Valley Hunt Point Retrieve Club!

Located in the very heart of the beautiful Test Valley in Hampshire, we are a group of HPR enthusiasts who meet on the first Sunday of each month at our very own training ground in Awbridge near Romsey.

HPRs of any age and handlers of any standard are welcome.  What ever your goal we`d love to see you !!!
During the summer we practice for working tests, have a summer BBQ and a water training day. During the shooting season we practice for field trials and hold at least three shoot-over days for our members and also the now legendary Christmas club day and meal !

For directions please see the   Club Days & Location Page  or click on the Email icon at the top of this page.

Covid Operating Rules
1. Advance Booking Only
Please use the on line booking form below
2. Advanced Payment by BACS
It is safer (and easier) if we receive payment in advance as this prevents us handling any money. However, we will accept cash in a sealed envelope with your name on.

3. Activities will be in "Bubbles of 5" plus a trainer.
You MUST stay in your bubble at all times
You`ll be notified in advance which bubble you`re in and where it will start
Social distancing will operate within bubbles
Activities within a bubble will be bespoke to each dog
At a given point (radio message) every bubble will move together to the next station

4. Members working a dog only
Sorry, at this time we will not be allowing non members or "first timers" at club days.
We cannot allow members to bring "spectators" without a dog as this will reduce space in a bubble.
No holding of other handlers dogs
No dogs to be left (or swapped) in vehicles
5. No entry after 10AM
At 10am the site will become "sealed" and no further entry will be permitted

6. Equipment sales will be available
As members you`ll already know what we sell. If you need anything in advance please put it on the booking form and pay for it in advance.

7. PPE & Safety for All
PPE is a personal choice for all members. We will not have any available so please bring your own should you wish to wear it. If you feel ill or if you have an abnormal temperature or persistent cough please don`t come to club day - go to a doctor !!

February Club Day

Novices Shoot Over Day

13th January saw our very first "novices" shootover day at Hawkhurst in Kent courtesy of Mr Fran Briley.

The weather was particularly kind with the dogs & handlers working extremely well under the guidance of Fran, Andrea and Christine.

Birds came at a steady rate all day........ occasionally giving the guns some "challenging" shots !

The "dog of the day" prize went to Katie Mason - many many congratulations !!

Lots of smiles and wagging tails ............... and then we went to the pub !!!
